AC vs DC charging
When AC charging is the practical choice and when DC fast charging makes more sense.
AC charging
AC charging is often the right fit when the vehicle remains parked for longer: at work, at a hotel, a restaurant or a shopping centre.
Actual speed depends on both the station and the onboard charger in the vehicle, so the same location will not deliver the same result for every car.
DC charging
DC charging is intended for shorter stops and road trips when you want to continue the journey more quickly.
Real charging speed depends on the vehicle, battery temperature, current state of charge and the power available at the station.
